Restaurant Baron is one of those places you want to keep secret, yet can’t help but share. Housed in the beautiful historic estate of Hof te Wolfsputte, this restaurant blends classic charm with warm hospitality. Once known as “Baron van Zon”, the location now shines under a new name — with even more character.
The setting
Upon arrival, you’re greeted by the grandeur of the manor and a spacious driveway that adds a touch of luxury. Inside, the atmosphere is cosy and elegant: warm wood accents, tasteful decor, and a relaxed, inviting ambiance. In summer, the terrace is a true gem — peaceful, green, and full of charm.
The taste
The menu offers refined Belgian-French classics. From rich, comforting vol-au-vent to perfectly cooked steak or melt-in-the-mouth filet pur — every dish is made with care and respect for culinary tradition. Desserts are a highlight in themselves, with balanced flavours and delightful textures.
The experience
Jan and Koert, friends for over 30 years and seasoned professionals, bring their shared passion to life in every detail. The service is professional yet warm, with genuine attention to the guest. The bar and wine list also deserve praise: well-curated, stylish, and perfectly matched to the kitchen’s creations.
