Taste & Share: A Coffee, a Smile, a Story Worth Sharing
Sometimes, something beautiful begins with something very simple. A cup of coffee. An unexpected gesture. A smile from someone you’ve never met.
Perhaps you’ve found your way to this page because you’ve just enjoyed a coffee that someone else paid for. Not someone you know, but someone who simply wanted to brighten your day.
Maybe you received a little Taste & Share card with your coffee. A small card carrying a simple message, but with a much bigger story behind it.
If so, you’ve just become part of that story. And that’s exactly why Taste & Share exists.
A Small Gesture with a Warm Intention
A coffee shop is so much more than a place to grab a cup of coffee.
It’s somewhere people meet, stories unfold, and everyday life slows down for a moment. A place to escape the rush, enjoy a little peace, or simply watch the world go by.

With Taste & Share, an initiative by Taste & View, I want to make those little moments just a bit more special. The idea is simple. Whenever I visit a coffee shop, I occasionally pay for an extra coffee. Not for myself, but for someone who comes after me. I leave behind a Taste & Share card to go with it.
The coffee shop can then give that card to another customer, along with a coffee that’s already been paid for. The person receiving it doesn’t have to do anything, explain anything, or give anything in return. Just enjoy the moment.
Because sometimes, the loveliest gifts are the ones you never saw coming.
From an Italian Tradition to a New Story
Taste & Share is inspired by the Italian tradition of caffè sospeso, literally meaning “suspended coffee.”
In Naples, there’s a long-standing custom of paying for an extra coffee when ordering your own, leaving it for someone else to enjoy later.
It’s a simple act of kindness and connection between people who may never meet.
With Taste & Share, I want to carry that beautiful tradition forward in my own way.
Not as a big campaign, but as a small, personal initiative that has the potential to grow, one coffee at a time.
One coffee. One card. One unexpected moment of happiness. Did You Receive a Taste & Share Coffee?
Then, above all, I hope you enjoyed it. Perhaps that coffee arrived just when you needed a little surprise. Or maybe it simply made an ordinary day feel a little brighter. That’s exactly the idea. But there’s something else you can do.
You can help this small gesture grow into something bigger.
Not by donating money or buying another coffee. Simply by showing that you appreciate the idea. Leave a comment below this blog post. Tell us about your experience, what you think of the initiative, or how that unexpected gesture made you feel.
Even a simple like means a lot. And perhaps you’d like to share this story with friends, family, or on social media. Every comment, every like, and every shared story helps bring Taste & Share to more people’s attention.
Because the more people discover how much a small act of kindness can mean, the greater the chance that this idea will continue to grow.

Perhaps Taste & Share Will Grow Here Too
Taste & Share begins with one gifted coffee, but the idea doesn’t have to stop there.
Coffee shops can carry the initiative forward by giving customers the opportunity to pay for an extra coffee for someone who visits later. With a simple card system, a small gesture can become a lovely tradition of kindness and connection, without complicated arrangements.
A small initiative that can make a coffee shop feel even warmer and more welcoming.
Perhaps this first Taste & Share card will inspire a coffee shop to make the idea a permanent part of its everyday experience. Anyone interested in bringing Taste & Share to their coffee shop is welcome to contact Taste & View.
Why I’m Doing This with Taste & View
Through Taste & View, I explore special places, discover beautiful stories, enjoy wonderful flavours, and meet people who put passion into what they do. Along the way, I’ve come to realise that it’s not just the coffee, the interior, or the food that makes a place memorable.
It’s the people and the little moments that stay with us. With Taste & Share, I want to add something of my own to those stories. Not just discover places and write about them, but occasionally leave something positive behind. A small gesture that might bring a smile, spark a conversation, or inspire someone else to do the same.
And if a coffee shop decides to continue the initiative, that one simple coffee could become the beginning of something much bigger. Taste & View doesn’t handle payments or manage coffee credits. Participating coffee shops organise the system themselves and decide how it works in practice.
