Between Silence and Motion — Reflections of a Passing City

Some cities don’t reveal themselves all at once.

They whisper — through reflections, textures, and fleeting moments you almost miss.

This series is not about landmarks.

It’s about what happens in between.

Through a window, framed by geometric lines, the outside world becomes a

painting. A cyclist passes by, slightly blurred — not a subject, but a moment. A reminder that the city never pauses, even when we do.

Then, a face appears. Frozen in time, yet full of life. The worn texture of a statue tells stories no words ever could. Behind it, the city fades softly into the background — past and present blending into one silent dialogue.

Lower to the ground, the perspective shifts. A narrow alley, rainwater guiding the eye forward. Reflections stretch the architecture, bending reality into something almost dreamlike. It’s in these unnoticed corners that the city reveals its most honest self.

Puddles become mirrors. Cobblestones turn into abstract compositions. A church tower appears, not above you, but beneath your feet — a quiet inversion of reality that forces you to look twice.

And then, suddenly, color breaks through.

A bold yellow sculpture, playful and unexpected, interrupts the calm. Arms open wide, almost inviting you to stop taking life — or photography — too seriously.

Because that’s what street photography often is:

a balance between control and coincidence, observation and instinct.

These images were never planned.

They were found.

Moments shaped by light, weather, and timing — captured in that fragile second where everything aligns.

And then disappears again.
